About Maui Weather

  Weather prediction for Maui is always a 'crap-shoot' with lots of room for error. The image bars below represent current forecasts.

  It is important not to confuse 'current' with 'accurate.' The site the images link to is as accurate as any.

  For a Maui weather forecast that scores higher than most, in terms of accuracy, we recommend visiting Glenn James' weather site at:
mauiweathertoday.com. Glenn is a local guy, lives in the upcountry part of Maui and is an engaging and knowledgeable meteorologist.

  Use both resources to marginally assess current weather conditions on Maui. That said, most of our weddings are held in the South Maui area [Kihei, Wailea and Makena].

This part of the island sees less rain than the 'west' side [Lahaina, Kapalua, Napili] and we are rarely rained out.

   But any outdoor wedding should be approached with this awareness -it's an outdoor wedding. Read wedding service contracts carefully. Most (including Pacific Island Weddings) have a 'weather clause.'

   If your Maui wedding is rained out, we attempt to move to another day or find a suitable backup site. We attempt to accomplish this at no added cost but be prepared for the following:
  • Cost of floral replacement
  • Site fee for backup location
  • Using different vendors (photographers, minister etc)
  • "Kill" fees for cancelled vendors
